AutoCrypt V2X-EE is a software development kit that can be embedded into V2X end entities in vehicles and roadside infrastructure units. The software security module integrates into chipsets of V2X devices and contains security protocols and algorithms that enable host devices to participate in V2X public key infrastructure systems. The solution allows host devices to sign and encrypt outgoing messages while verifying and validating incoming messages. It consists of a security library containing protocols and algorithms for message signing and verification, along with a Local Certificate Manager that stores certificates locally. The Local Certificate Manager processes certificates through local certificate revocation lists to ensure only messages from trusted entities are processed. The system encrypts messages transmitted between V2X participants and provides two-way authentication, enabling V2X end entities to enroll and participate in backend public key infrastructure.
