The ProDevice ASM240 is a physical hardware degausser designed for the permanent destruction of data on high-coercivity magnetic media. Operating with a magnetic field induction of up to 20,000 Gauss (2 Tesla), the appliance irreversibly sanitizes 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard disk drives, multiple data tape formats, and floppy disks. The hardware executes a complete data destruction cycle in 5 seconds per unit and accommodates media up to 150 mm x 112 mm x 25 mm in size.
Available in Basic, Professional, and Ultimate configurations, the system incorporates a touch screen interface and supports Pre-Paid Management System (PPMS) technology for usage-based cycle programming. The device captures process data, including scanned barcodes, timestamped cycles, and integrated camera photographs (on the Ultimate model), to generate comprehensive compliance documentation for audits.
