Becrypt APP-XD is a High-Assurance Cross Domain Solution (CDS) based on the HiTMAN CDS architecture, designed to facilitate secure API integration across separate network trust domains. The solution utilizes hardware modules, such as Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), to perform hardware-based validation of network traffic. It supports bi-directional HTTP REST and configurable unidirectional diode modes for data ingest. Cross-domain traffic is decrypted within a trusted hardware module, a process intended to prevent data aggregation in less-trusted environments and avoid reliance on a DMZ for decryption.
The platform consolidates multiple security functions and supports load-balanced, high-availability setups with up to 10Gbps throughput. It provides content validation through Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) technology and includes remote management capabilities for secure patching and auditing. APP-XD is used as a management component for securing remote administrative access and to support Zero Trust principles by controlling information flow between networks in government and critical infrastructure environments.
