AirShield GPS Canary by LOCH Technologies safeguards the Global Positioning System by mitigating risks and threats to GPS reliability, exposing the vulnerable attack surface of GPS systems. It monitors L1/L1S GNSS constellations for GPS, QZSS, GLONAS, BeiDou, Galileo, and SBAS. AirShield GPS Canary identifies variations in decoded signal content such as location calculation and time shifts performed by spoofing and meaconing attacks. It monitors changes in signal state such as quality, loss of signal, spoofing, and meaconing. Events are epoch-based, offering a history of observations across multiple deployed GPS Canaries using LOCH's cloud-based dashboard. Each GPS Canary reports to LOCH's cloud environment, providing a detailed history of its health. It detects variations in reception quality to identify impacted locations and times affecting operations. AirShield GPS Canary involves testing methodology where GPS Canaries monitor GNSS signals and report data quality. Visibility to at least 4 satellites is needed to lock a signal. A GPS Canary is deployed using a single power over ethernet connection and an external antenna, housed in an outdoor-rated IP65 enclosure for external mounting. Notifications are sent through the LOCH Cloud infrastructure to systems like SMTP Email, Syslog, Slack, WebHook, and others. It integrates with existing monitoring systems like SIEM or SOAR using an OpenAPI-compliant API. AirShield GPS Canary enhances functionality by working with the AirShield product line to provide WiFi, Cellular, Bluetooth, and other RF-related visibility and security. It enforces Zero Trust across RF wireless signals from 300 MHz to 6 GHz.
