AES256-XTS by Xiphera is an Intellectual Property (IP) core that implements the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with a 256-bit key in XTS mode. AES256-XTS is primarily used to secure stored data and is extensively used to encrypt data on hard drives and storage devices. It is designed for seamless integration with FPGA and ASIC projects, following a vendor-independent approach. Xiphera offers two versions of the AES256-XTS IP core: a balanced variant (XIP1183B) and a high-speed variant (XIP1183H).
