Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is a multi-tenant, hyper-converged infrastructure solution designed for cyber protection. Running on commodity servers or Acronis Cyber Infrastructure appliances, it converts hardware into a manageable pool of storage resources and provides file, block, and object storage, supporting multiple simultaneous use cases including backup data storage and disaster recovery. The solution combines compute, software-defined storage and networking capabilities. It features Acronis CloudRAID that replaces traditional RAID systems, SAN, and NAS, providing erasure encoding. The platform is compatible with S3 applications and clients for object storage, offers iSCSI access for block storage, and supports file storage that can scale to petabytes. It includes SSD caching, load balancing, and fast path support for All-Flash systems, with RDMA/InfiniBand support for lower latency and decreased CPU load. The solution enables automatic restoration of workloads in the event of node failure with fault-tolerant architecture that has automatic, self-healing of storage and data scrubbing. ReadyKernel technology enables live patching of a running Linux kernel without rebooting and automatic rollback if patches are unsuccessful. The platform provides near-linear scalability for dozens of nodes in the cluster and has been optimized to work with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud services.
