The Marvell Brightlane 88QB5224 is a multi-gigabit Ethernet bridge designed for automotive applications that connects 4 lanes of MIPI CSI-2 with an automotive Ethernet PHY. The device interfaces with automotive-grade cameras and GPUs via CSI-2 interface as defined by the MIPI Alliance. It operates over shielded twisted pair (STP) and implements the Ethernet physical layer portion of 10GBASE-T1 as defined by the IEEE 802.3ch standard. It features integrated MACsec for Layer 2 In-Vehicle Networking security, providing hop-by-hop data exchange protection and defense against intrusion, man-in-the-middle, and replay attacks. The device utilizes advanced mixed-signal processing for equalization, echo cancellation, data recovery, and error correction at full line rate while maintaining robust performance and automotive electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance with low power consumption.
