The Niagara Networks 4248-6C Packet Broker is a high-performance visibility platform purpose-built for security operations center (SOC) and network operations center (NOC) environments within on-premises and private data center networks. Utilizing a 2 Tbps non-blocking FabricFlow architecture, the platform facilitates complete traffic visibility and seamless data flow across 10/25/100G networks through advanced aggregation, replication, and multi-level filtering.
The system features a high-density, pay-as-you-grow design that supports modular hardware acceleration through up to two Packetron line-card modules. These modules connect via dedicated 100G interfaces to offload intensive packet processing tasks such as deduplication, slicing, and SSL/TLS decryption. By delivering packet and flow-level visibility up to Layer 7, the 4248-6C optimizes traffic streams and enhances the efficiency of monitoring and security tools.
